Mozambique permit homosexuality

Mozambique has enacted legislation inayohalalisha homosexuality, and be among the few countries in Africa that permit homosexuality.

That law set by the country's colonizers, Portugal previously deleted by the Parliament of the country. Defenders of the rights of same-sex couples have cited the move as a great victory.

However, many African countries have made strict laws against homosexuality. Nigeria banned by imposing penalties of imprisonment to 14 years in prison for those who engage in homosexuality at that time Uganda and I have sworn to restore strict laws outlawing homosexuality. The original law was thrown out by the constitutional court.

Mozambique now joins other countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast and South Africa where it is not guilty a partner of the same sex
